His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from San Pablo CEU University, which he successfully obtained on July 19, 2010. Alongside his doctoral studies, Roberto pursued additional postgraduate qualifications in Plant Engineering and Higher Education, further enriching his academic repertoire.

Currently serving as an Associate Professor at CEU San Pablo University's Higher Polytechnic School in the Department of Architecture and Design,he commenced his professional career in academia in 2005.
