Born on October 25, 1971, in Spain, he embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Mechanical Engineering from Tecnology University of Panama in 1996. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from San Pablo CEU University, which he successfully obtained on July 19, 2010. Alongside his doctoral studies, Roberto pursued additional postgraduate qualifications in Plant Engineering and Higher Education, further enriching his academic repertoire.

Currently serving as an Associate Professor at CEU San Pablo University's Higher Polytechnic School in the Department of Architecture and Design,he commenced his professional career in academia in 2005. His dedication to teaching and research has been evident throughout his tenure, with roles ranging from Collaborating Professor to Associate Professor across various esteemed institutions including European University of Madrid and University Carlos III of Madrid.

As the Principal Researcher of the ARIE group (Architecture, Efficient Facilities) at CEU San Pablo University, he spearheads initiatives aimed at optimizing building facilities' energy efficiency while prioritizing occupants' health and comfort. His groundbreaking work on indoor lighting systems resulted in the development of a utility model, subsequently acquired by the Spanish company Pentaluz.
