His began his academic journey with a strong foundation in the sciences, earning his Bachelor of Physics-Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia, in June 1994. Building upon this, he pursued his passion for chemistry, completing his Doctorate in Chemistry in March 2006, under the guidance of Professor Sami Sayadi at the Laboratory of Bioprocesses in the Biotechnology Center of Sfax. His doctoral research focused on the production and characterization of bioactive compounds from Olea europaea and Hyparrhenia hirta. Following his doctoral studies,He further enhanced his academic qualifications by obtaining his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) in May 2010, with a dissertation on the phenolic composition of Tunisian olives and olive by-products.

He has held various academic positions at the High Institute of Biotechnology of Sfax (ISBS) since 2003, progressing from an Assistant to his current position as Professor.
