He has contributed significantly to understanding water resource management and environmental risk assessment in arid and semi-arid regions. Ahmed has collaborated extensively on both national and international projects, producing influential work on surface and groundwater evaluation, soil quality, and sediment geochemistry. Ahmed has authored numerous publications in high-impact journals covering hydro geochemistry, mineralogical studies, heavy metal risk assessment, and environmental geochemistry.
