Cham’s academic journey began at Kabafita Lower Basic School (2000–2006) and Brikama Methodist Academy (2006–2009), where he earned his Basic Education Certificate. He later attended Nusrat Senior Secondary School (2009–2012), completing the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination. Cham holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of The Gambia and an MSc in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at Comsats University Islamabad.

Cham’s academic excellence has earned him scholarships, notably for his MSc studies at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences. He also received Executive of the Year (2018) in the Kani Kunda Tendala Youth and Social Development Association and several other recognitions for his community service efforts.
